.45 cal Serial # 66738 Superb First Generation Black powder Colt Commercial Single Action Army with Blue & Case color finishes and varnished one piece walnut grips. Mfd 1881 with single line elongated block letter address on barrel top. , Marked "45 CAL" on left side of trigger guard. Oval ejector rod head. with fiery blue finished screws. Condition, Excellent with 85% original blue finish with strong feathering around front sight and light finish flaking from breech of Bbl. Cylinder has 80% finish on exterior with most all blue inside of chambers. Matching serial numbers throughout including the inked number on grip mortise. Assembly number 883 is found on loading gate. A superb example with bright bore and chambers showing very minimal use. Grips are outstanding with most all varnish remaining. A very fine black powder framed single action with documents of authenticity from renown arms collector dealer Robert "Floyd" Everhart attesting to its authenticity and rarity to be found in such high original condition.
